Built
as a traditional paddlewheel boat, the Pride of Oregon, is a 102-foot
replica of the famous Rosie O’Shea paddleboat, and is unique in all of
Northern Illinois. Couples enjoy dinner and drinks while skimming the
still waters of the Rock River on romantic, moonlit river cruises.
Children stay captivated during family outings on a river cruise past
Lowden State Park. The 15-mile journey takes passengers under the
watchful eye of Chief Black Hawk – the largest concrete monolith in the
country.
Onshore, Maxson’s glass-enclosed riverside dining room,
reveals a stunning panoramic vista. Just outside, a sprawling deck
allows you to dine in the midst of nature, perched on the shores of
the beautiful Rock River.
Maxson Riverboat and Restaurant is one mile north of the quaint town of Oregon on IL Route 2. A 40-room hotel sits a few steps from Maxson Manor, and a 12-room motel offers lodging across the highway.
